There are Three ways to get your captains to create teams on SocialRoster. Top
Send Invites to an Email address, SocialRoster user, or Facebook Friend
Give your captains a specific Captain Code so they can Create their Team
Allow users to apply to become a Captain in your League
Existing Captains Email, SR User, or Facebook User
You can invite captains to Join your league and create a team to invite their players if you know their email address, if they are currently a friend on SocialRoster, or if they are a friend of yours on Facebook (if you login using Facebook Connect all of your friends will be imported automatically).
First create the number of captain invites (or team shells) you would like:

Then, choose how and who you would like to send invites to. You can use different methods for different teams.

Once the invites are out if you realize someone doesn't check the email account you sent to or they finally accepted the friend request you sent them on Facebook, you can always change the method you sent the invite and Resend it!

Using Captain Codes
If you don't know a potential captain's email address, facebook account, or they aren't already a friend of yours on SocialRoster, you can always use a Captain Code either by telling it to them or sending it to them in some other method. Just create a team and leave the dropdown to "Do Not Specify"

You can get the captain code for a specific invite or team by copying and pasting it from the left hand side of the invite.

Potential Captains can then enter that code in one of two different places.
On your League Page:

Or in a general signup when they join SocialRoster:

Allow Captains to Apply to Become A Captain
This method is good if you are looking to grow your league or are not expecting all of your captains to come back from the previous season.
In "League Setup" if you allow captains to apply for a captain code you will see a link on your Public League Page that looks like this:

When they click that you will recieve a notification that a Captain has requested to create a team via email and in your profile.

You will also see this sitting in your "Captain Requests" queue for you to approve or deny.
